Arc Raiders: Eyes in the Sky Quest Walkthrough

Jan-10-2026 PST ARC Raiders

If you enjoy Arc Raiders quests that send you all over the world, Eyes in the Sky delivers in a big way. This mission requires you to visit three different maps and install LiDAR Scanners at elevated, often dangerous locations. It’s a test of navigation, awareness, and patience—and in one case, your ability to use a zipline correctly.

The good news is that you don’t need to extract to complete any individual step, meaning you can tackle each objective separately. However, one of the locations does require a zipline, so some preparation is necessary before jumping in.

Below is a complete breakdown of where to go, how to reach each scanner location, and how to avoid common pitfalls along the way.

Loadout and Preparation Tips

For the Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport objectives, you can safely run a free loadout if you prefer to minimize risk. That said, the Dam Battlegrounds objective is highly contested by other players, so bringing a decent weapon can save you a lot of frustration.

For Buried City, a zipline is mandatory. Bring at least one—ideally two—in case placement goes wrong. Zipline deployment can be finicky, and having a backup prevents unnecessary deaths or failed runs.

Install a LiDAR Scanner on the Dam Battlegrounds – Control Tower Roof

The most dangerous part of the quest is placing a LiDAR Scanner at the top of the Control Tower on the Dam Battlegrounds map. This POI is a notorious hotspot for PvP, largely because it contains valuable locked rooms that draw heavily geared players.

Approaching the Control Tower from the south is one of the safer options. Look for a staircase running up the side of the building and climb the first three flights of stairs, stopping at the main floor instead of going all the way up.

From there, move along the long outdoor hallway and enter the door at the far end. Inside, continue straight until you reach a breachable door. If another player has already passed through, it may be open. Otherwise, breach it quickly and stay alert.

Beyond the door, you’ll see ziplines leading upward. Before using them, look straight up and destroy any wall-mounted turrets, as they can quickly eliminate you while you’re ascending.

If the turrets are gone, it likely means another player has already been through. This can be dangerous, as players often place traps near the top of the zipline. If you trigger one, calling out that you’re just questing may help—though some encounters will still turn hostile.

Once upstairs, ignore the nearby key room and continue through the corridor until you reach another breachable door at the top of a stairwell. Open it to access the Control Tower roof.

On the roof, head slightly forward and to the left to find a tripod. Interact with it to place the LiDAR Scanner and complete this portion of the quest. When finished, take the zipline back down—but be cautious, as other raiders may be waiting below.

Install a LiDAR Scanner on Spaceport – Communications Tower

The Spaceport objective is by far the easiest and safest of the three. Head to the Communications Tower on the eastern side of the Spaceport map.

This area rarely sees much player traffic, making it an ideal low-risk objective. Upon arrival, locate the yellow ladder attached to the tower and climb upward until you reach a small platform.

On the platform, you’ll find another tripod. Interact with it to place the LiDAR Scanner. With that done, climb back down and extract whenever you’re ready.

Install a LiDAR Scanner on Buried City – Galleria Sign

The final LiDAR Scanner must be installed on top of the Galleria sign on the eastern side of Buried City. This objective requires a zipline, and incorrect placement can easily result in a fall.

Approach the Galleria from the south and climb onto the square rooftop structures just below it. From there, cross a makeshift bridge that leads onto the Galleria rooftop.

Once on the rooftop, use your zipline to connect to the upper portion of the Galleria sign. Attaching the zipline too low—such as onto the railing—will cause you to fall instead of landing on the platform.

Ride the zipline upward, and be prepared to jump slightly at the end to land correctly. Overshooting the platform can result in serious fall damage.

At the top, interact with the tripod to place the final LiDAR Scanner. While you’re up there, check for a weapon case, which often spawns nearby and can contain valuable ARC Raiders Items.

Completing the Quest

Once all three LiDAR Scanners are installed, Eyes in the Sky is complete. From there, extract from any map and return to Speranza at your convenience.

Final Thoughts

Eyes in the Sky is one of Arc Raiders’ more demanding traversal quests, combining high-risk PvP zones, vertical navigation, and precise zipline use. By tackling each map separately and preparing properly—especially for Buried City—you can complete it efficiently and with minimal losses. The right ARCR Items will help you a great deal.
